Data Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Florham Park, NJ): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Data Engineering Manager in Florham Park, NJ, and the job duties are as follows:
Gather requirements, and manage and supervise a team of data engineers to gather and translate user/system requirements into design specifications during solution confirmation workshops.
Interact with client or internal senior leadership on scope, schedule, and cost management.
Design and code data pipelines and/or applications to functional and technical programming standards.
Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components.
Deploy solution to production and provide post deployment support.
Create technical documentation for data pipelines and/or application.
Conduct project management activities (resource management, leadership communication management, risk management, and budget reporting) for assigned scope of work and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior leadership.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
Designing and building production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Python;
Designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion, and curation functions on Azure, AWS, or GCP, using native or custom programming;
Designing, building, and operationalizing large scale enterprise data solutions and applications using Azure, AWS, or GCP data;
Analytics services in combination with custom solutions and analytic technologies, including Spark, Cloud Data Lake, and SQL DW;
Performing detail assessments of current state data platforms and creating an appropriate transition path to Azure, AWS, or GCP; and
Utilizing Azure, AWS, or GCP for solution design of analytic platform and implementation at a production scale.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Developing Spark applications using Python;
SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization utilizing Indexing, Partitioning, and Denormalization; and
ETL Workflow management using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for Data Profiling, Data Migration, Extraction, and Transformation.
Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
