Your role at Accenture Strategy

  • Become a trusted advisor for C-suite clients

  • Define clients' business and technology strategy, developing world-class solutions for payments businesses that solves our clients’ most critical CEO’s agenda issues

  • Work at the intersection of business and technology, innovating and delivering new business models leveraging data driven and industries convergence solutions

  • Go deep to get the lay of the land that clients operate in, and to grasp clients’ business options in the context of global, economic, technology, and social trends

  • Advising clients on data-driven strategies with actionable roadmaps to achieve their strategic, financial, and operational goals

  • Lead teams to provide world-class business strategy solutions and develop junior members of the team

  • Drive business development to originate new client opportunities

Payments Practice Overview

The Payments practice is a part of the Financial Services North America Banking Client Service Group, which provides consulting and outsourcing services to retail banking and payments clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. We serve more than 600 unique clients in 24 countries in including banks, networks, merchants, and fin-techs, payment platforms. Among our clients are more than 89 percent of the Financial Services companies in the Fortune Global 500.

Accenture's North American Payments practice is responsible for driving Accenture's go-to-market strategies and offerings for our US and Canadian clients, bringing our best offerings and leveraging our global payment practices and experience. These offerings include:

  • Card Issuing

  • Merchant and Payment Acceptance

  • Commercial, B2B, Corporate, and Transaction Banking and Payments

  • Fin Tech and Payment Innovation (e.g., digital payments, wallets, etc.)

  • Payment Network

What we will need about you

Due to increased demand from our clients, we’re seeking to recruit Senior Managers and Managers to be part of our leading Accenture Strategy practice in Payments, with:

  • Professional working experience in Business Strategy, Management Consulting, Business or Commercial Development, Digital Innovation, and/or Efficiency related functional areas

  • Professional working experience for top incumbent financial institutions, payment networks, payment processors, retailers, software / platform providers, and Fintechs

  • Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills with a flair for breaking down processes into logical parts and constructing crystal-clear reasoning and analyses

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results on all organization levels

  • Ability to deliver business change by designing and delivering strategy across the payments value chain and lifecycle (card issuing, merchant / payment acceptance, commercial / B2B, fintech/innovation, and network)

  • Ability to consult and partner with our clients to help them develop high performance solutions to advance their industry position in a wide range of payment methods (card and non-card)

  • Ability to execute projects and bring innovation to our clients

  • Ability to work cohesively in an agile and flat organization working environment

  • Strong people development and team building skills

  • Drive, ambition, and initiative to help grow Accenture´s business at functional and Industry level

  • A Bachelor's degree. MBA degree from a top tier business school is a bonus.

    For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only. Candidates are expected to be open to business travel in the future as needed, up to 80%.     Here’s What You Need

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the Banking and Payments industry

  • Minimum 2 years of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in one or more specific payment areas in any of the following payment domains:

  • Card: Private label, Credit, Online Debit, Offline Debit, Prepaid, ATM, Acquirer/Issuer

  • Retail: P2P, Bill Payment, Mobile Payments, Electronic Bill Presentment, Micro Payments

  • Electronic: ACH, Domestic Wire, International Wire, Fedwire/CHIPS, SWIFT

  • A Bachelor’s degree

    Bonus Points if : • You have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
