You Are:

Cloud Innovation & Service Delivery Chief of Staff

Technology is progressing and converging at breakneck speed on multiple fronts and across the entire Digital Core -- from Cloud, AI, Cyber, to Platforms. At the same time, US Federal IT challenges are growing increasingly complex, particularly around security and compliance. Clients are also implicitly asking for focused IT transformation and converged modernization.

Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Cloud & Engineering helps AFS meet these evolving client needs in a vast and dynamic technical landscape. We bring specialized, interdisciplinary teams with skills in Cloud, DevSecOps, and Software Development to innovate, solution and deliver across an array of capabilities and lay the foundations necessary for clients to capitalize on emerging trends of hyperconvergence like Zero Trust, Data Mesh, and Generative AI to achieve their mission. We are seeking a Chief of Staff to fill a key leadership role within the team responsible for Cloud Labs, Cloud Innovation, and delivery of Cloud Managed Services within the Cloud & Engineering Practice. The successful candidate will take ownership of program-level Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), lead key strategic initiatives, and assist the Cloud Innovation & Service Delivery Lead with program-level risk management and QA. The Chief of staff will also represent Cloud Innovation & Service Delivery programs and serve as a primary point of coordination with AFS Product Managers, AFS Client Account Teams, and AFS Senior Leadership, in additional to external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Keep the Cloud Innovation & Service Delivery Lead and AFS Senior Leadership informed of progress on key strategic initiatives, as well as significant risks and issues within the portfolio of projects and programs.

  • Develop and foster stakeholder relationships across the program’s ecosystem

  • Provide go-to-market thought leadership through lessons learned, stakeholder management, and industry expertise, and contribute to the development and implementation of next-generation business models

  • Develop business cases for technology investments and onboarding of new managed services

  • Collaborate with Business Operations teams to develop and sustain strategic partnerships with key CSPs and other technology vendors

  • Partner with Product Management & Engineering leads to ensure new capabilities are implemented and transitioned to operations for sustainment in a standardized, scalable, and repeatable framework

  • Ensure overall delivery and deliverable excellence for a multi-tenant, multi-cloud, multi-compliance level and multi-services partners platform

  • Baseline best-in-class delivery for responsible teams and drive continued iteration for future value enhancements

  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements

  • Work with other stakeholders in integration of new and existing business processes

  • Provide thought leadership, guidance, and mentorship for people managers, technical leaders, and business leaders within the organization

  • Provide leadership for all resources within a specific workstream including client, vendor, consultants and associates

Essential knowledge/skills/experience in this role:

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in a technology delivery capacity

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or another technical major or equivalent professional experience

  • 10+ years experience of managing a complex service environment supporting large scale production deployments

  • 10+ years experience managing business and technical professionals

  • Technical knowledge of the major U.S.-based hyperscale CSPs (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)

  • Deep knowledge of cyber security concepts and managing the balance between business objectives, security, and compliance

  • Expertise in U.S. Federal Information Security compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC)

  • Experience leading projects from inception to sustainment

  • Experience in establishment business precedent and continual improvement towards world class experiences

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence without direct management authority

  • Experience with assets management, procurement and contracting principles

  • Experience identifying opportunities and risks, associated strengthen and mitigation strategies as well as implementing, monitoring and controlling the strengthen and mitigation activities

  • Demonstrable understanding of the challenges of working within a multi-tenant cloud environment for IaaS and/or PaaS services models

  • Demonstrable understanding of the challenges of working within multi-tenant and/or multi-cloud environments for commercial, public, private and/or community cloud deployment models

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience and/or certification

  • PMP and/or Agile Certification

  • CISSP or equivalent advanced security certification

  • Expertise in the business of cloud (i.e., financial models, pricing strategies, CSP discount programs)

  • Thought leadership and practical experience in ITFM and FinOps

  • Candidate must have extremely strong management and leadership skills along with strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral)

  • Confidence in delivering excellence in a challenging and transformative environment

  • Ability to learn business and technology concepts, frameworks, and policies quickly

  • Interface agreement writing experience – either between units or between companies

  • Outstanding negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to multi-task with outstanding organizational skills

  • Proficient problem-solving abilities

  • Deep understanding and awareness for people development

  • Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a demanding fast paced business and IT environment

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$167,400—$348,600 USD
